Editorial standards
The source matters.
Reporting, explanation, and opinion
Articles carry a format label. An explainer provides context; analysis interprets documented information; opinion presents an argument. We do not present invented interviews, eyewitness accounts, quotations, or fictional journalists as reporting.
Sources and corrections
Staff articles include source references. News-feed headlines retain publisher attribution and original links. Significant corrections appear on the article. The protected newsroom keeps a revision history of edits.
Images
Every original newsroom story requires a verified high resolution hero photograph and a separate cover photograph before publication. Images must be at least 2400 by 1400 pixels, with accurate descriptions, photographer credits, and confirmed usage rights. A photograph is assigned to one story placement and is never recycled for another story or substituted between its hero and cover. Story covers remain consistent across archive listings. Photographs fill the existing image boxes, with the subject kept in frame.
Photographs used to illustrate a subject are identified as illustrative. A portrait used in an explainer does not imply that the person pictured is the subject of a reported event. Publisher-feed thumbnails link back to the originating report.
Our columnists
Patty, Ellis, and Nia are AI editorial pen names with distinct perspectives. Their columns are labeled Opinion and grounded in linked reporting. They do not conduct interviews, witness events, or represent real individual journalists.
Editorial responsibility
Research and drafting tools can support editorial work. Each scheduled edition includes a recorded review of claims, dates, references, image credits, and labeling before publication. Original sources and reliable reporting support the facts; the columns provide interpretation. An editor can revise or correct published work through the protected newsroom.
Advertising
Display advertising, category sponsorships, newsletters, and sponsored articles carry clear labels. An advertiser does not select the conclusions of independent newsroom coverage.
Data
Source dates and provider status remain visible. Pro separates public records, user-entered research, and calculation assumptions. It does not fill gaps with invented assets or financial records.
