Do the credits translate into any lasting financial participation, or just recognition?
Different agreements can produce different answers. That's a reason to inspect the terms, not assume the credit settles it.
An arrangement can be the reason a cover works, and the conversation still ends at the name of the singer.
Exactly. Listening for who changed the shape of the song makes the collaboration much more interesting.
