People are still allowed to prefer the choir.
Absolutely. Preference becomes a problem when it turns into instructions about what the artist is allowed to make.
Preferring the choir is fine. I just don't want that preference to become a rule for every track.
Some listeners hear an unexpected guest and decide the artist abandoned them before the song starts.
The album can make room for the familiar sound and another direction. We don't have to choose a side from the credits.
