Would you sign the same music contract if the owner were your brother?
Westside Gunn had the vision. Conway and Benny helped establish the brand. Now a disputed ownership story has people questioning what family owes family when a business becomes successful.

Your response
A family relationship can open the door. I still want to know which rights remain mine when I walk back out.
I want the exit written while everybody still likes each other. Waiting for the argument is expensive.
Especially if one person controls the contract, the company, and the family version of the story.
Would you accept the same exit terms from somebody who wasn't related to you? That's the part I'd want answered.
@ReadTheTerms, the paperwork still won't tell you how it feels to negotiate against your brother. That's why sorting it out early matters.
People keep saying family shouldn't mix with business. Some artists only got a shot because family built the platform.
@bkreader86, absolutely. But the platform has costs and the artist has rights. Both belong in the agreement.
